Mum Who Lost Her 5-Year-Old Son and Got Kicked out of their House Has Become a Millionaire
Vanessa Ogden Moss went on to become a millionaire, 15 years after having a mental breakdown.
In a video on YouTube, the 42-year-old self-made millionaire from Derbyshire shared her past heartbreaks including losing her five-year-old son, Tom, to cancer and splitting from her partner.
“After losing my son I had a complete mental breakdown, I could hardly function, and I filed for bankruptcy, I ended up homeless and lost everything."
The mother-of-three became homeless at one point, sofa-surfing between friends and family.
But today, she is earning up to $30,000 a day even though she’s working for a few hours a week.
She has been helping people to follow their dreams. Moss, who has been featured on magazine covers, expects her business to turn over almost $40 million by the end of the year.
Her mental breakdown led Moss, who used to be a stay-at-home mother, to channel her grief into motivating others on social media.
Moss got pregnant at a young age. She described herself as a stay-at-home mother with no skills.
“After losing my son I had a complete mental breakdown, I could hardly function, and I filed for bankruptcy, I ended up homeless and lost everything,” she said.
She added: “I didn’t have a penny to my name, but I had a crappy computer, and we were staying with family and friends, so I had access to the internet.”
She started her social media enterprise by setting up a motivational Facebook page called “Yummy Mummy” with a 12-week weight loss program for new mothers.
She gained following and people started paying for her advice not only on weight loss but other topics as well.
Not long after, she started selling business and life coaching courses.
She will also be launching her new book called “Make A Million From Home”.
She will also appear on a reality TV show in April. “It was like a light bulb moment in my head; I thought if people will pay me to do this I could make something out of it,” she said.
