It seems that Kate and William are absolutely not the role models for Meghan and Harry

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been married for about one year –and one thing we have been able to see is that the couple is forging their own path in the Royal Family.

The couple has broken away from Prince William and Kate Middleton –and they are keen on carving out their own Sussex lane where they can concentrate on projects of their passion and charities outside of the stuffy tradition of the royals.

Today is #earthday - an opportunity to learn about, celebrate and continue to safeguard our planet, our home. The above, Their Royal Highnesses in Rotorua, New Zealand. Of the 170 different species originally planted in the early 1900’s, only a handful of species, including these majestic Redwoods, remain today. Next, we invite you to scroll through a series of 8 photos taken by The Duke of Sussex©️DOS sharing his environmental POV including: Africa’s Unicorn, the rhino. These magnificent animals have survived ice ages and giant crocodiles, amongst other things! They have adapted to earth’s changing climate continually for over 30 million years. Yet here we are in 2019 where their biggest threat is us. A critical ecosystem, Botswana’s Okavango Delta sustains millions of people and an abundance of wildlife. Huge bush fires, predominantly started by humans, are altering the entire river system; the ash kills the fish as the flood comes in and the trees that don’t burn become next year’s kindling. Desert lions are critically endangered due partly to human wildlife conflict, habitat encroachment and climate change. 96% of mammals on our 🌍 are either livestock or humans, meaning only 4% remaining are wild animals. Orca and Humpback whale populations are recovering in Norway thanks to the protection of their fisheries. Proof that fishing sustainably can benefit us all. Roughly 3/4 of Guyana is forested, its forests are highly diverse with 1,263 known species of wildlife and 6,409 species of plants. Many countries continue to try and deforest there for the global demand for timber. We all now know the damage plastics are causing to our oceans. Micro plastics are also ending up in our food source, creating not just environmental problems for our planet but medical problems for ourselves too. When a fenced area passes its carrying capacity for elephants, they start to encroach into farmland causing havoc for communities. Here @AfricanParksNetwork relocated 500 Elephants to another park within Malawi to reduce the pressure on human wildlife conflict and create more dispersed tourism. Every one of us can make a difference, not just today but every day. #earthday

Prince Harry has always been stubborn –and Meghan has brought her own flair to the British Royal family –from her American upbringing to her mixed-race background and work ethic– people cannot seem to get over how different the Duchess of Sussex approaches royal life.

However, Prince William and his wife Kate have set a model of what it implies to be royal – so why don’t Prince Harry and Meghan look to them for guidance?

Prince William (Duke of Cambridge) and Kate Middleton (Duchess of Cambridge) are widely loved — but they are very traditional and they have even been accused of having light programs with respect to charities and events.

Though the Duke and Duchess of Sussex respect the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge–they prefer to approach royal life in a way that will give them both happiness and a sense of fulfillment.

Though the Duchess of Sussex and the Duchess of Cambridge are friendly – they simply do not have so much in common. The birth of Baby Sussex might alter their dynamic–but for now, they aren't very close.

Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell told Us Weekly,

“They are different women with different roles from different cultures. Kate knows that Meghan is no threat to her, and Meghan is mature enough to realize that her role is vastly different from Kate’s.”

A royal insider told People, “It was only going to work until they married — and it went on a while longer than perhaps was originally thought.”

Though the public was anticipating a Fab Four dynamic during the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, it didn’t really turn out to be so.

A source told People,

“It’s a shame. There was power in that unity and great strength in the foursome, but I see why it is happening. There is always that tension: trying to do the PR thing and then realizing that they are just real people. They want their own place and their own things.”

From her choice of keeping her birth plan private to her decision to speak out about her views on feminism and education —Meghan Markle has chosen to create a path in the Royal Family that fits with her personality and her passions.

“If things are wrong and there is a lack of justice, and there is an inequality, then someone needs to say something.” — The Duchess of Sussex has become Vice-President of The @Queens_Commonwealth_Trust, of which Her Majesty The Queen is Patron, and The Duke of Sussex is President. In her new role, The Duchess will highlight the Trust's partnerships with young people across the Commonwealth, and in particular its work supporting women and girls. In celebration of International Women’s Day, Her Royal Highness joined a special panel discussion of female thought-leaders and activists convened by The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, to discuss a range of issues affecting women today. #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2019 #QCT #QCTxIWD

Regrettably, the British media has not made things easy for Meghan. From the trolling to the rumors in the press – people can’t seem to get over how different the duchess is.

However, the primary reason why Meghan is getting so much backlash is that she is not a “yes person.”

Meghan and Harry have officially separated from Kate and William, breaking up their joint “court” at Kensington Palace by forming two separate offices. The Princes are said to not be as close as they once were.

What an incredibly special surprise the grassroots led #globalsussexbabyshower was last Sunday! The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are immensely grateful for the outpouring of love and support in anticipation of the birth of their first child. In lieu of sending gifts, the couple have long planned to encourage members of the public to make donations to select charities for children and parents in need. If you already made a donation, the couple send you their greatest thanks. If you are thinking about it, they ask that you kindly consider the following organisations they’ve selected, which we will highlight here over the next few days: @thelunchboxfund @littlevillagehq @wellchild @baby2baby The Duke and Duchess remain appreciative for your warm wishes and kindness during this especially happy time in their lives! Thank you for sharing the love ❤️

Harry and Meghan have since moved out of London to Windsor Castle’s Frogmore Cottage – about 25 miles away – and even launched their own Instagram handle, 'sussexroyal'.

Harper’s Bazaar reports that Harry and Meghan are “not looking to other family members, or their teams, for guidance” but only turn to the Queen and Prince Charles for advice.

A close associate of the Sussexes told Royal reporter Omid Scobie,

"Let’s be clear about one thing: Any decision the couple makes about their future will be made by themselves for themselves. Harry and Meghan have always wanted to reach people on a global level and that is the only thing that’s motivating them. Aside from the Queen and Prince Charles, they’re not looking to other family members, or their teams, for guidance".

But the source emphasized that Meghan and Harry have Prince William’s full backing for their future plans.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to be considering a move to Africa for two to three years as part of a major international role, after the birth of their first baby.

Although followers of the royal family may not find out any details about the birth of the royal child for a while. Kensington Palace made an announcement this week that the royal couple will be keeping the birth plans private.

A statement from the palace reads:

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby.

"Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private.

"The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family."

Just one week ago, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex asked that you kindly consider supporting various organisations around the world in lieu of sending gifts for the upcoming arrival of their first born. Not only did many of you lend your support, you took action. Their Royal Highnesses wanted you to know the impact of your support – the direct effect your donation, energy, and action made! YOU chose to be part of the collective good, and you have made a real difference. Whether a $5 donation, £1000 contribution, offering to volunteer, or spreading the word – you’ve played your part. And on behalf of The Duke and Duchess (and Baby Sussex), we thank you so much. YOUR IMPACT: @thelunchboxfund will now be able to provide a minimum of 100,000 additional hot nutritionally fortified meals to children in dire need across South Africa @littlevillagehq received donations from all over the world (from UAE to Hong Kong and the US), they’ve increased their monthly donors, had a surge in volunteer applications, and re-energized their hard working team of 200+ staff and volunteers @wellchild can now provide 300+ additional hours of specialist care by a Well Child Nurse for a child with serious health needs, allowing families to stay together at home vs in hospital @Baby2Baby have received over 5,000 products to disperse to children in need, including cribs, books, backpacks, diapers and have received monetary donations from around the globe - from Guadalajara to Italy. You made this happen. Thank you.
