Meghan Markle Debuts Lovely 'A' Necklace in Sweet Tribute to Baby Archie

The Duchess took a little time off from her 2-month-old son to support her friend Serena Williams at Wimbledon, but she wore a small accessory that paid tribute to her firstborn.

On July 4, 37-year-old Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance at the Wimbledon Grand Slam at London to watch her friend, 37-year-old Tennis star Serena Williams, play against Slovenian Kaja Juvan.

Since the Duchess of Sussex gave birth to her first child Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor with her 34-year-old husband Prince Harry on May 6, she has practically never left the baby’s side.

So, for this public outing, on which she had to leave her little bundle of joy back home, Markle made sure to carry something with her that made her feel closer to Archie, as eagle-eyed reporters noticed.

Markle’s outing was just two days before the day of Archie’s christening, to be held at Queen Elizabeth’s Private Chapel in Windsor Castle.

The recent mother wore a necklace with a little pendant of the letter A as a way to pay tribute to her son as she sat on Wimbledon’s Court One during the warm summer day.

Markle made the most of the high temperatures hitting England’s capital, wearing a striped white jacket with mid-length sleeves over a black top, and blue jeans.

The Duchess also wore sunglasses and held a matching trilby hat that she wore at times. She styled her hair in her signature messy bun with bangs.

The former “Suits” star was accompanied by two friends. One is believed to be Lindsay Roth, one of Archie’s rumored godparents, and the other was identified as Genevieve Hillis.

Markle’s outing was just two days before the day of Archie’s christening, to be held at Queen Elizabeth’s Private Chapel in Windsor Castle.

The Duke and Duchess’ will to keep the ceremony as private as possible has brought criticism against the Royal Couple, as the British people consider the christening of Archie, who is seventh in line to the throne of England, a matter of public interest.

Royal watchers were also outraged by Markle and Harry’s decision of not revealing the identities of Archie’s godparents concealed arguing that it was their explicit wish.
