Today, The Countess of Wessex has begun a #RoyalVisit in Lebanon. #RoyalVisitLebanon 🇱🇧🇬🇧 This morning Her Royal Highness visited an informal tented settlement in the Bekaa Valley at the start of her visit to Lebanon and met a Syrian family receiving UK funded assistance via the UN’s World Food Programme (WFP). They are supported by UK and Lebanese efforts. HRH then joined Reverend Nadim Nassar, Founder of the Awareness Foundation and the Foundation’s ‘Ambassadors for Peace’ to see how Syrian young people are building bridges of respect and understanding in their diverse communities. The Countess is Patron of the charity. In the afternoon, The Countess thanked British Embassy staff based in Beirut for their service in the region and then joined a roundtable discussion in her commitment to champion the UK’s work on #WomenPeaceSecurity and the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative. HRH joined Syrian women and NGOs who shared their insights and discussed how to tackle the barriers to ensuring women’s voices are heard and promoting their vital role in decision-making.

However, only one of her fashion items caught the attention of avid followers of the royal family.

THE UNIQUE MESSAGE INSCRIBED INTO THE COUNTESS' CLUTCH PURSE

Sophie took fashion to another level by rocking the clutch which reportedly had a unique message written on its flap. People reported that although the fashion accessory was unexpected, considering the fact that Sophie is a vital member of the royal family, it has made many admire her sense of style as well as humor. An American twist, they called it!

Sophie's intricate sense of fashion was quite evident as she attended the high-class event in a blue floral print dress by Peter Pilotto.

Last night, in Lebanon The Countess of Wessex attended a birthday party in honour of The Queen’s birthday. The event took place at the National Library in Beirut. The Queen sent a message which The Countess of Wessex read out: “I am delighted that my daughter-in-law is with you this evening,” Her Majesty The Queen. “The United Kingdom recognises Lebanon as a symbol of diversity, tolerance and resilience, and I hope that the strong bond of friendship between our two countries will continue for many years. “Prince Philip and I send our warmest good wishes to the people of Lebanon, and to all those attending this evening’s reception.” The Countess also talked about the importance of highlighting the issue of Women, Peace and Security, and sexual and gender-based violence on the #RoyalVisitLebanon At the event The Countess viewed an art exhibition and was shown archeological finds.

She finished off the distinguished look by having her hair styled into a bun, wearing white heels sandals, and carrying a silver and blue clutch bag that featured a message comparing her to an all-American superhero.

“I’m not saying I am wonder woman. I’m just saying that no one has ever seen me and wonder woman in the same place,” the message inscribed into the purse humorously reads.

THERE IS NONE LIKE IT!

A search to find a replica of the countess' bag has proven futile, but it remains uncertain if she did have it personalized with the message, however, no one's complaining!

With no care for the keen eyes of the public on her, Sophie, who is 54 years old, had a relaxed time watching the game play out as she sat beside Prince Albert II of Monaco in the royal box.

Sophie's 1999 marriage to Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex made her an integral part of the British royal family. The Earl and Countess are now proud parents of two: Lady Louise Windsor and James Viscount Severn who are 15 and 12 years old respectively. Sophie, however, attended the Wimbledon event alone.

Despite that, she still managed to make it a news-worthy appearance, and that is quite laudable. Her appearance at the widely publicized event was alongside other members of the royal family.

The long list of attendees included Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Zara Tindall, Mike Tindall, and Kate Middleton’s parents Carole Middleton and Michael Middleton.
