Duchess Camilla Visits RAF Halton to Celebrate Their Centenary Year
The fashionable Duchess of Cornwall performed her role as Honorary Air Commodore and visited the Royal Air Force, to join in their centenary celebration.
She made an appearance in a stunning gown alongside some celebrities and royal families at the Wimbledon tennis tournaments. Her Royal Highness, Duchess Camilla is seen in a midlength polka dot dress as she visited RAF Halton in her role as Honorary Air Commodore, to celebrate their 100th year.
During the visit, Her Royal Highness saw the station’s reconstructed World War I trenches, which replicate the ones that were built to train soldiers how to survive on the Western Front.
The Duchess also opened the new Youth Activities Centre, where Her Royal Highness met children from the local school and joined in a game of table tennis.
Members of the royal family and celebrities alike trooped to the royal box to watch their favorites at the latest tennis tournament at Wimbledon. The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, after meeting with some wheelchair athletes along several ballgirls and ballboys at the players’ lawn, proceeded to the members’ dining room for a private lunch, before heading to the royal box for a front row seat to all the tennis action.
According to the official Wimbledon website, the royal box which contains a total of 74 seats is used to entertain “friends and guests of Wimbledon,” including royals from around the world, tennis stars, celebrities, commercial partners, heads of government, prime ministers and more.
Duchess Camilla, a regular at Wimbledon, wore a breezy white knee length dress, looking chic in her RayBans shades and hand fan. The royal was seen talking to British actress and singer, Elaine Paige for a while.
The 71-year-old Duchess, however, was not the only royal attending the highly anticipated tournament. The son of the beautiful Grace Kelly, Prince Albert of Monaco, along with Sophie, Countess of Wessex, who wore a long blue patterned dress were also spotted at the sporting event.
Although her parents were seen at the Wimbledon event, Kate Middleton was not in attendance. The Duchess of Cambridge later went to support her husband, Prince William, as he and his brother, Prince Harry, played in a charity polo match.
Actor Hugh Grant with his wife, Anna Eberstein, British footballer, David Beckham, Leona Lewis, and her fiancé, Dennis Jauch, to name a few, were the prominent faces spotted in the royal court at Wimbledon Centre Court.
Celebrities such as Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, and English model, Twiggy, were also among the famous faces spotted at the tournament.
